What To Expect
On this tour, we will take you to the mango capital of Bangladesh – Nawabganj, to photograph the mango activities on its numerous orchards and bazaars. You’ll photograph the collecting, sorting weighting mango in the orchards, and transporting them on bicycles on a special way, which is very photogenic. Also you will visit the mango bazaars where buyers from all over the country gather, and eighty percent of country’s mangoes are sold from. We’ll also take you to visit some amazing archeological sites of Gaud, the ancient capital of the greater Bengal located on the border of Bangladesh and India, and the beautiful temples and places of Puthia and Natore.

This tour could be in best use at May to July when it is the full mango season, and the whole Rajshahi Division is full with the fragrance of ripen mango.

Tour is not available to start on Saturday and Sunday, as Saturday is the off day for 769 Dhumketue Express and Tuesday is off for 760 Padma Express.

1st class train ticket depends on availability. We’ll try our best to get first class tickets for you. But if that is not possible you will have a reserved seat on 2nd class. Tuk – Tuk will be used as local transport inside Rajshahi city.

Itinerary

Pick up from hotel at 5.30 AM, and transfer to Railway Station, and take 769 Dhumketue Express at 6.15 AM to Rajshahi. Upon arrival Rajshaji around noon then transfer to Hotel. After check-in and freshen up have lunch, and then visit Varendra Research Museum, Which is the oldest museum in the country rich in its collection of archeological artifacts. Enjoy boat ride at river Padma (Ganges) in the late afternoon and if time permits pay a visit to a char and see people’s life style in a rural village. On the way back enjoy a beautiful sunset. Overnight at Rajshahi.
After having breakfast, we will drive to Chapai Nawabganj to 1.visit historical mosques. On the way find all the places covered by mango gardens, especially the Khirsa mango that got GI recognition by UNESCO in 2019.
2.First, we will walk through the history of the lost city Gaud. Visit Choto Sona Masjid (Gaur), a remarkably fine architectural specimen of the Sultanate Period. the Tahkhana Complex (Persian), literally means a cold building or palace. A structure was built on the west bank of a large tank situated in the Firozpur quarters of the city of Gaur-Lakhnauti.
3.We will go to Darasbari Mosque, the largest mosque in the Bangladesh part of Gaur-Lakhnauti, now in ruins. The name Darasbari is derived from its being located within a Darasbari (place of lesson or learning).
4.Visit Khania Dighi Mosque, one of those precious edifices of Bangladesh. The mosque was built during the 15th century. The four domes mosque is also known as Chamachika Masjid, Rajbibi Masjid, etc.
5.After, we will drive to Rajshahi city to visit the Varendra Research Museum. This is the first and most resourceful museum in the country. Find all exclusive statues and historical signs there. We will spend the sunset on the banks of the Ganger River.
6.Night stay at the hotel in Rajshahi.
1.After breakfast transfer to the airport where we say good-bye and wish you a safe journey home.
Today, we will drive to Paharpur to visit our third World Heritage site. The green vegetable-fruit fields are amazing to stop. Especially the betel leaf gardens are interesting to have photographed. On the way, visit the famous Kusumba Mosque, built during the Afgan rule in Bengal.
2.Finally, we will visit Paharpur Buddhist Bihar, dating from the 8th century AD. It’s also known as Sompura Mohavihara which is the most impressive archaeological site in Bangladesh also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was once the largest Buddhist monastery in the south of the Himalayas.
3.After lunch, we will drive to Bogra. Visit the oldest known city in Bangladesh Mahasthangarh, dating back to at least the 3rd century BC. Today, the archaeological site consists mainly of foundations and hillocks hinting at past glory. In the Mahasthangarh site museum, an interesting collection of recovered pieces is on display. The Behula Bashor Ghor is a key site to visit in Mahasthangarh.
4.We will spend the evening at Vasua Vihara Buddhist ruins. The sunset from this place will refill you with the beauty of the rural landscape.
5.Return to Dhaka on 760 Padma Express leaving at 16.00 PM. Upon arrival Dhaka around 21.50PM, End of the tour.
